How Did They Get Here?

Ants enter most homes through small cracks in and around the home. They are looking for water and sweets or greasy food left in the kitchen or pantry areas.

One..then two..then a hundred!

Ants are smart little guys. They leave an invisible chemical trail that their buddies follow into the house.

Ants want to set up shop in your home, and they will if left untreated. Little to your knowledge, they can have nests in lawns, walls, stumps, and even under foundations.

How many could there be?

Ants have what are called colonies and those colonies can grow up to 300,000 to 500,000 members.

How long have they been here and how long could they stay?

An ant colony can live a long time, as long as you are supplying all their needs. Worker ants could live up to 7 years, and the queen ant could live up to 15 years.

“I'm just going to buy some ant spray and fix this ant problem myself!”

Well, that's not such a good idea. Here is why...Most do-it-yourself ant control approaches do kill ants. However, they only kill the ants you see on the surface. When you seek a professional pest control company such as SP PEST CONTROL, that is the only truly effective treatment that can penetrate and destroy the ant nests. Not only that, but it will also help to prevent the ants from returning in the future. Also, home remedies don't account for the fact that different kinds of ants infestations require different treatments. That is why you need a professional.
